Please let me introduce myself.  

My Name is David Reilly and I’m a member of The Church at West Mountain, a Southern Baptist Church just South of Gilmer on Hwy 271.

I joined the US Marine Corps out of High School in 1989 and many years after my ETS, went into the Army Guard to “get my fix” one weekend a month. Eventually medically retired after a 2015 tour in Afghanistan. I proudly wear my Combat Infantry Badge.  

I am a member of the VFW, Marine Corps League, Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association, and ride with The Patriot Guard.

While in the Marine Corps, I started taking classes at DeVry Tech in Telecommunications, but finished earning my Bachelor of Science in Financial Management at Montana State. Eventually continuing my education and earning my MBA from University of Phoenix… and later attending Keller Grad School for an MA in Fraud Accounting and Government Finance. 

My work experience outside of the Military, includes Government Fleet Management for US Fish and Wildlife, Safety and Loss Prevention for Tiffany and Company, and various Customer Service centered positions in banks and other retail stores.  

MUCH OF WHICH WAS RESTRICTED BY GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS AND CONTROLS.  

I have held multiple DOI and DOD Certifications to include: Federal Fleet Management, FEMA Emergency Response Management, Substance Abuse Administrator.

As well as private industry certifications to include: ASP, MOAB, ACFE, OPMP, APICS, and Six Sigma.

My Hobbies include riding my 21 HD Road Glide (though I do miss my 2001 ‘911 Edition’ Road King). Off Roading in my ’18 Rubicon JL… and Fishing off shore, or in my ’95 Ranger Bass Boat.  

My Goals in Congress are:

Ensure America's Veterans are taken care of!  

Fight to keep DC out of our East Texas Daily Lives! ...AND OUT OF OUR POCKETS!!

Protect the Agricultural and Outdoor lifestyles of East Texas.
